Both Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine and Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine are now offering free short story podcasts. EQMM has three up so far, including—what else—an Ellery Queen story, "The Myna Birds," as well as offerings by Neil Schofield and Melodie Johnson Howe. AHMM offers up stories by Will Ludwigsen and Jane K. Cleland. The publications promise that more will be added each month.
Joining the podcast lineup is iPulpFiction.com, a new site offering up stories for a small fee in variety of genres, although November is "mystery month" on the site, with the featured-story-of-the-month, "Death of a Snowbird," from the J. A. Jance Casebook series. Also available are Moonchasers and Other Stories by writer Ed Gorman and the Bill Ferrel Mysteries by Bill Crider.
