Hard Times But Hope, Too

I just learned the sad news that the well-regarded mystery conference Hardboiled Heroes and Cozy Cats, held annually in Dallas, Texas, has had to cancel their program this year. It was scheduled for June 19-20th and all those who had already registered will have their money refunded. Hopefully, if the economy picks back up, the conference will return in 2010.

Meanwhile, a new conference, the California Crime Writers Conference, is still a go for June 13-14. It takes place in Los Angeles, and keynote speakers include Robert Crais and Laurie R. King.
