In what has become an annual publication, Wolfmont Press is offering up its latest short-story anthology to benefit Toys for Tots, this year titled The Gift of Murder. The stories all have themes involving the December holidays and crime, with offerings this year by Stephen D. Rogers, Bill Crider, Austin Camacho, Barb Goffman, Sandra Seamans, Elizabeth Zelvin and many more. Last year's version made the 2008 Top Bestsellers list from the Mystery Booksellers Association. You can purchase a copy from the link above, via Amazon or by ordering it from your local indie store.
Members of the American Crime Writers League have contributed stories for the Murder Past, Murder Present anthology, edited by R. Barri Flowers and Jan Grape and published by Twilight Times Books. The League was founded in the late 1980s by Robert Randisi and Ed Gorman, both of whom have stories in this collection of 22 mystery, suspense and thriller tales. The trade paperback is available in stores and you can also buy an e-book ARC (advance reading copy) via the publisher link.
And, as I mentioned yesterday, the Poisoned Pen Bookstore celebrated its 20th year with a book launch of the upcoming Phoenix Noir anthology from Akashic Books edited by Patrick Millikin. It won't be available in wide release until November 1st, but you can pre-order it in stores.
