Mystery Notes

The 2010 Arthur Ellis Award Nominees were announced last evening. The CBC has a writeup of featured nominated books, and the Gumshoe site has all the shortlists posted.

If you missed celebrating Earth Day, it's not too late: Janet Rudolph has environmental crime fiction suggestions.

It's World Book and Copyright Day, as established by UNESCO (they use April 23 because it's the date in 1616 when Cervantes, Shakespeare and Inca Garcilaso de la Vega all died). Celebrate by going to your library and/or bookstore and read a book.

Speaking of books, don't forget to check out the latest installment of Forgotten Books Friday at Patti Abbott's site. Next week, the focus will be on story anthologies.
