Read this about a year ago and actually found it to fall in the small masterpiece category.SPOILERALERT!!!!Unforgettably sad ending. Did not know there was another Nicholson novel, off to Alibris I go...

Greetings, Martin and Joe! Yes, I think I can see why Kelly garnered so many Golden Dagger noms and the award. And the ending of "Spoilt Kill" is a bit of a downer, for sure, but I think it was true to the characters. The sequel to "Spoilt Kill" was titled "Due to a Death" in the UK, I believe, but "The Dead of Summer" in the U.S. Hard to find in print, but our local library has a copy.
