This is exactly one of my gripes. Will there be author tours and signings?

Laura K Curtis

I don't know what to say...funny and sad. Will they make cool Kindle covers with copies of whatever you're reading, so authors can sign those?

BV Lawson

I'm hoping there will still be author signings and appearances, although instead of signing the e-book, perhaps the author can bring along other items to sign, such as special small poster-style covers. Authors may find they are giving more talk-only events than they are doing actual signing-only events.

Maybe instead of autographs, I could transfer to e-readers a custom virus that flashes my name and the word 'genius' subliminally between page turns...

Terrie Farley Moran

Ohhhh, Clare, that sounds terrific!

BV Lawson

How about a virus that sends subliminal messages along the lines of "buy my (insert your title) book."

Terry Odell

I've been to signings where Kindle owners had authors sign their covers--and my guess is technology will soon come up with a way to sign a purchased e-book.
