B.V. Is this the one with the 'bad seed' kid? I think it is. If so, it is not one of my faves. I think I only read it once. But still, I wonder what they'll make of it if a film version.

Yes, I believe "Crooked House" is the "bad seed kid" book. I find it interesting that it's one of Christie's favorites, although I haven't seen it stated why she felt that way.

Maybe she had the most interesting time conceiving and writing it. That would sway a writer, I suppose. I always remember it as too melodramatic and rather obvious. But maybe that's just me. I should read it again just to see how I feel about it now.

I'll have to some more research and see what I can find. Oddly, the critics haven't been as fond of it as she apparently was.
