I would have never imagined her forgotten growing up. But she really is.

There was a time when I used to get the names mixed up: Mary Roberts Rinehart and Mignon Eberhart. Maybe because they wrote similar (more or less) books.

I did read lots of their books growing up. But it's only lately that I've returned to Rinehart. No Eberhart though.

This one sounds good.
FIVE PASSENGERS FROM LISOBON - like it. Great title.

My mother had Rinehart books in the house when I was a child, but I don't remember any Eberhart books, which is odd. Historical fiction is so popular right now, it's kind of interesting to look back on these stories that were contemporary at the time, but now feel historical to us.

Oh, I haven't thought of Eberhart in years but read her faithfully when I was (much) younger.

I'm grateful that our local library has a good selection of crime fiction, including Eberhart. It will be interesting to see how many of these older "neglected" authors gain followings again once everyone's backlist (and out of print prints) become available anywhere, anytime, thanks to being digitized. Could be fun!
