J F Norris

McVicar's books have been turning up frequently on eBay these dyaas and I've been wondering about him. I thought he might be of the Buchan school, but this book sounds like a mix of Francis Beeding and A. Merrit. Not sure if I'll tackle any of his books, but it was a much appreciated introduction.

Well, although this was a fun read, JF, but with the huge pile of books most of has on our shelves (or in our eReaders), I'm not sure I'd move this book to the top of your list. I'm a bit surprised there haven't been any efforts to re-release the books at least in digital form, though.

Kelly Robinson

I'm not familiar with this author at all, though I've heard of THE LOST PLANET. Thanks for the review.

BV Lawson

It will be difficult to find any of his works, Kelly. I was lucky my local public library had a copy of just this one book of his (it's a Black Dagger re-issue edition from 1997.
