Elgin Bleecker

Good review, as usual, but as much as I enjoy political novels, it is hard to revisit that confused and confusing time period.

Although I agree with you about that point (for the most part), I think I'd still like to see the new "Man From U.N.C.L.E" movie - I was a fan of the original TV series.

Elgin Bleecker

I guess I meant the very late 60s and very early 70s – too much upheaval. As for UNCLE, the old show was very cool. I watched it every week. Which makes me think that cool shows of the past would make a pretty good post: The Saint, It Takes a Thief, The Avengers…

BV Lawson

You're right about that post! Unless Jeff over at The Rap Sheet has beat us to it . . .

Martin Edwards

I've never even seen this book, so found this review very interesting. The author, whom I met a few times, was an extremely pleasant lady, and I enjoyed several of the Clare Curzon books. A good writer.

BV Lawson

I'm glad you had the chance to meet her, Martin! I think it's quite curious that her books are so difficult to find, especially in this day and age of POD and digital books. Perhaps that will change soon.
