John Creasey's GIDEON series may be his best work. I just bought a dozen books in the GIDEON series at a Library Book Sale. I read the first dozen decades ago and now I'd like to read the whole series!

I agree with your assessment, George - and congrats on scoring those books from the library! Not only will you have a lot of fun reading time coming up, but you also helped out your local public library.

John Creasey books were everywhere a decade ago in used bookstores (remember them?) and thrift stores. I know most of Creasey's books are available online and in ebook format, but I was thrilled by finding printed copies of Creasey's books at that Library Book Sale!!

Of course, the downside is the Library no longer owns them...
