The Macavity Awards were handed out at the opening ceremonies of this year's virtual Bouchercon Conference. The awards are named for the "mystery cat" of T.S. Eliot (from Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats). Each year the members of Mystery Readers International nominate and vote for their favorite mysteries in five categories. The 2020's honorees include:
